Carillon Pavilion's Magic

Carillon Pavilion is more than a landmark — it’s a pause.

Tucked between the dunes and the Gulf, this open-air pavilion has witnessed countless small, sacred moments: barefoot walks to the beach, salty breezes drifting through white columns, conversations that linger a little longer than planned. It’s a place where time softens.

This painting was created not to document every architectural detail, but to capture the feeling of being there — the light, the air, the sense that everything slows down just enough to breathe. I paint through rose-colored glasses, holding onto how a place felt, not simply how it looked.

For me, Carillon Pavilion represents arrival. The moment you realize you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. For many, it holds memories of vacations, celebrations, or quiet reflection by the water. This piece is meant to bring that feeling home — a gentle reminder of calm, beauty, and belonging.

Whether you’ve stood beneath this pavilion yourself or simply dream of the coast, this print carries the spirit of the place: peaceful, timeless, and full of light.

About the 30A Collection

With 26 miles of coastline, South Walton is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking white-sand beaches and luminous turquoise waters.
Tucked into the northwest panhandle of Florida, this iconic stretch of coastline blends natural beauty with a quiet sophistication and some of the most thoughtfully designed architecture in the South.

My first drive along Scenic Highway 30A felt truly magical. I remember feeling like I couldn’t open my eyes wide enough to take it all in. It’s still hard to believe that our family now calls this place home—and that I get to be immersed in its beauty every single day.

When I paint, I do so through rose-colored glasses, focusing less on what I saw and more on how I felt. This collection is an emotional response to South Walton—a tribute to the sense of wonder, peace, and joy that so many experience here.

The series features seven iconic locations that hold a special place not only in my heart, but in the hearts of many:

  • The Pearl in Rosemary Beach

  • The entrance of Alys Beach

  • Seaside Chapel

  • The Seaside Post Office

  • Carillon Pavilion

  • Rosemary Beach Town Hall

  • And, of course, the Coleman Pavilion

Each piece captures the spirit of these beloved landmarks—moments of light, memory, and meaning layered into paint.

If you have any questions or would like to share your own connection to these places, I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
