Fractalfly is a butterfly, but it’s also a map.
I painted this piece from the idea that metamorphosis isn’t a single “before and after”—it’s a series of tiny turning points. One decision, one habit, one brave moment, one boundary… and suddenly your life is headed somewhere new. The wings hold that concept like a fractal: repeating patterns, endless directions, infinite outcomes. Same starting point… different path.
The mirrored, sparkly corners in the original were intentional—like little portals or compass points. They hint at reflection (what you believe about yourself), perspective (what you’re willing to see), and possibility (what you choose to reach for). Fractalfly is about agency: the quiet truth that you do get a say in how your story unfolds. Not everything is controllable, but the next step usually is.
This butterfly print is for the person standing at the threshold—between who they were and who they’re becoming. A reminder that growth can be beautiful and messy, and that your direction is never “locked in.” You can pivot. You can begin again. You can choose.
