At the heart of Seaside sits one of its most beloved landmarks—the Post Office. More than a place to send letters, it feels like a gathering point, a shared ritual, and a symbol of connection woven into everyday life.

This painting was inspired by the simple magic of that experience: bicycles leaning nearby, familiar faces crossing paths, and handwritten notes beginning their journey outward from this small coastal town. The movement in the sky and surrounding space reflects the flow of stories passing through—messages of love, news from afar, and moments of anticipation folded into envelopes.

Rather than focusing on structure alone, I painted the feeling of community that lives here. The Seaside Post Office represents slowing down, choosing intention, and staying connected in a world that often moves too fast. It’s a reminder of the beauty found in ordinary moments and the quiet joy of reaching out.

About the 30A Collection

With 26 miles of coastline, South Walton is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking white-sand beaches and luminous turquoise waters.
Tucked into the northwest panhandle of Florida, this iconic stretch of coastline blends natural beauty with a quiet sophistication and some of the most thoughtfully designed architecture in the South.

My first drive along Scenic Highway 30A felt truly magical. I remember feeling like I couldn’t open my eyes wide enough to take it all in. It’s still hard to believe that our family now calls this place home—and that I get to be immersed in its beauty every single day.

When I paint, I do so through rose-colored glasses, focusing less on what I saw and more on how I felt. This collection is an emotional response to South Walton—a tribute to the sense of wonder, peace, and joy that so many experience here.
